RAMBAN, June 13: A bus carrying CRPF personnel here today caught fire near Battery Chashma on Jammu-Srinagar Highway.
The bus was part of a CRPF convoy heading to Jammu when this incident took place at Battery Chashma area of Ramban.
Police sources informed that as soon as driver of the vehicle noticed smoke coming out of the engine, he stopped the bus alongside the road and all the troopers travelling in the vehicle de-boarded the bus.
No one was injured and all security persons travelling in the bus were safe.
SHO Ramban, Inspector Vijay Kotwal said: “No one was injured in the incident which might have occurred due to some mechanical snag.
