JAMMU, June 10: Government has ordered constitution of District Level Review and Monitoring Committees (DLRMC) to ensure satisfactory implementation of projects and schemes under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM).
The DLRMC will be headed by the Member of Parliament representing the concerned district. Its members will comprise all MLAs of the concerned district, Municipal Executive Officer, Project Officer of Urban Development Agency, one member from reputed NGO, one professional from the field of social work/social science, one representative each from SC and ST communities, female representative and Deputy Commissioner of the district.
The committee shall meet quarterly and conduct review of implementation of projects and reforms under the Urban Infrastructure and Governance (UIG), Basic Services to the Urban Poor (BSUP), Integrated Housing and Slums Development Programme (IHSDP) and Urban Infrastructure for Small Scale and Medium Town (UIDSSMT) schemes of JNNURM).
