NEW DELHI: Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday said that those who have dubious accounts were opposing the Aadhaar.
It is the most secure ID card and 118 crore out of 130 crore people have the Aadhaar and the rest are opposing it, the Minister was talking in a programme organised by India Today group here.
“Aadhaar card will increase people’s accountability and there is no need to talk on privacy over Aadhaar,” Mr Prasad said.
He said the whole world is lauding Narendra Modi Government for its economic policies. Mr Prasad said policies initiated by the Modi Government have brought about changes and those who have accumulated unaccountable wealth have nowhere to hide.
“Poor people are happy with the Modi Government and initial hiccups should not stop us from reform,” Mr Prasad said. While criticising the Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on GST, Mr Prasad said his ‘Gabbar Singh Tax’ jibe was irresponsible.
“Rahul Gandhi’s knowledge of economy is debatable,” Mr Prasad mocked. (AGENCIES)
