KATHUA, May 17: Govindsar Railway Police has registered a FIR against gate man Santok Raj for negligence of duty under Section 427/325 today.
Mr Raj had abandoned the railway gate at Ghati near here yesterday evening when he was supposed to be on duty. A great tragedy was averted at Ghati Railway Gate and five inmates of a maruti car had a narrow escape after the Jammu Mail passed from the Railway track at that time and the car had also reached near the Railway crossing and it was about to cross the gate.
However the driver applied the brake and stopped the car thereby averting a big tragedy.
