POONCH, May 12: A 14-year-old girl was drowned after she slipped down from a temporary wooden bridge in Mandi area of district Poonch today.
Sources said that minor, Zahida Parveen, daughter of Abdul Hamid, resident of Gagrian Danna, had gone to graze her cattle in the nearby forest area. She was returning home when she slipped down from the long wooden plank being used as temporary bridge by the villagers over a local nallah. She washed away and later her body was fished out by the villagers the down stream.
