KARGIL, Sept 8: Kargil Army 8 Mountain Division organized a cricket tournament namely ‘Kumbothang Cricket Premiers League, here.
Twenty six teams participated in the League and the final was played between Farona Laskha and JNV Kargil.
JNV Kargil won the match by 5 wickets to claim the title trophy. Army Brigade Commander of Top Gun was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes and trophies among the winners and runners-up teams.
People of the area appreciated the role of Army in promoting sports and games and helping youth not to derail from the mainstream.
