JAMMU, Aug 8: A labourer today died due to fall from roof top of a building in Muthi area while the dead body of an unknown man was recovered from Ranbir canal in Gadigarh area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a labourer identified as Sandal Kumar (27) son of Ganesh Mato, resident of Bihar (at present Muthi Camp) died today due to fall from roof top of an under construction JDA building at Muthi Camp. He said that after conducting post mortem at Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu , the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs fro last rites while a case in this connection was registered at police station Domana and investigations started.
Meanwhile, the decomposed and naked body of an unknown man of age about 40-45 years was recovered today from Ranbir Canal in Tadap area of Gadigarh near Ravi Dass Temple. The body was shifted to mortuary room of GMC Jammu for identification and post-mortem while the concerned police had initiated inquest proceedings under 074 CrPC in the case.
