RAJOURI, Apr 1: It was a miraculous escape for the driver as a Maruti van, fitted with an LPG cylinder, caught fire and completely got damaged at Dhani Dhar here late this evening.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place at around 7.30 pm when the Van No. JK02M/2946 which was on way to Danora village from Rajouri town. As the vehicle reached near Dhani Dhar, it suddenly caught fire. The driver/ owner Mohd Akhtar, son of Abdul Hussain of Danora, jumped out of the vehicle and escaped unhurt. The vehicle was caught in huge flames and completely burnt. The police has registered a case in this connection.
