RAMBAN, Apr 14: A man drowned in river Chenab, when his foot slipped while taking bath near village Parhi Tanger, falling under the jurisdiction of Dharmkund Police Station.
As per police sources, at around 2 pm, a person identified as Gaja Singh (53), son of Savan Mal of Banera Tanger got drowned while taking bath in river Chenab near village Parhi Tanger.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and divers were pressed in to fish out the body from the river. However, the body remained untraced till late night and fresh search operation will be carried out tomorrow morning.
Dharmkund police has taken cognizance in this regards.
