VIJAYPUR, Sept 24: Apni Party’s contesting candidate for Vijaypur and former Minister, Manjit Singh today intensified his election campaign across the constituency, seeking vote and support for his candidature.
Manjit addressed public meetings in Vijaypur and made a plea to the voters to vote him to the Legislative Assembly to revamp the development of the constituency which has remained negligent for decades.
He said, “The farmers, villagers, youth and business community are worst hit with the policy adopted by the Govt that is directly controlled by the BJP. The BJP has compromised the rights of the people, and their future to the outsiders by allowing them to be involved in every trade and mining related works.”
Manjit said, “The rising number of unemployed youth has become a history in Vijaypur and even in the entire J&K in the last 10 years due to failed policies of the Government. The public-administration gap has widened and the Government has lost faith in the people because of its unilateral decisions which were imposed on people without consulting their representatives.”
He said, “There is disappointment and hopelessness among the people because of the BJP. The BJP aimed to create division and the slogan of development has been exposed as the condition of main roads and link roads are worst and the infrastructural development has stopped since last one decade.”
“The Vijaypur will witness a historic development, employment, reservation of jobs in industries, and will fight for the rights of the farmers,” he said and added that the developmental and welfare schemes of the Apni Party would be launched, once the Party form its Government in Jammu and Kashmir.
