JAMMU, Apr 29: Director General (DG) of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Sadanand Vasant Date, visited the Jammu & Kashmir Police Headquarters in Jammu today, engaging in detailed discussions with Director General of Police, RR Swain, along with other high-ranking officials.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaborative efforts in investigative operations to effectively combat terrorism and dismantle its support networks.
The officers emphasized the need for more robust investigations and discussed the importance of a unified approach to enhance the effectiveness of their anti-terrorism measures.
Key discussions also revolved around launching new initiatives to ensure sustainable support, resource allocation, and coordination between the J&K Police and the NIA.
Additionally, plans for a joint capacity-building program were considered, aiming to improve investigation techniques and overall response to terrorism-related activities.
Among those present were ADGP (Headquarters/ Coordination) MK Sinha, ADGP Law & Order Vijay Kumar, ADGP Jammu Zone Anand Jain, ADGP CID Nitish Kumar, IGP NIA Vijay Sakhare, DIG NIA Amit Kumar, and SP NIA Jammu Sandeep Chaudhary.
