JAMMU, Dec 28: Continuing its protest against J&K Services Selection Board (JKSSB), National Student’s Union of India (NSUI) today staged a demonstration in front of Board’s Central office at Sehkari Bhawan, Bahu Plaza, Jammu.
Hundreds of NSUI activists assembled this morning in front of JKSSB Central Office under the leadership of Fairoz Khan, National secretary and Ajay Kumar, National delegate, NSUI and held protest demonstration.
The agitated students were shouting slogans against JKSSB demanding cancellation of paper for Graduate level post, which was held on December 25 and re-examination of the said paper.
After protest the protesting students led by Fairoz Khan met the Secretary of the Board, who assured them that he will do all what he can do to meet their demands. He further said that he will present all the demands in front of committee constituted for the issue.
On the assurance of the JKSSB’s Secretary that their demands will be fulfilled, the students got pacified. The main demands of the students are cancellation of paper for Graduate level post which was held on 25th and its re-examination, issuance of roll numbers to aspirants 15 days prior to examination, allocation of examination centres at district level and only in Government institutions, and holding examination for the divisional and State cadre posts separately.
Speaking on the occasion, Fairoz Khan said that the Board has violated the fundamental rights of students and if the board fails to do the justice then they will have no option but to go to Court.
Others who addressed the agitating students were Ranjit Chopra, Sachin Sharma, Mehran Anjum Mir, Imran Katoch, Danish, Ranjeet Thakur, Rahul Pandit, Kuldeep, Ajaz Ahamd, Shabir and Deepak Mahajan.
