JAMMU, Feb 11: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah launched the 86th Centre of the Gold’s Gym in the high—street area of Jammu at Bahu Plaza, here.
The Gym had started with the presales in the month of November 2013 and already boasts of 431 members, besides an equipment from Star Trac, USA and a separate Group Exercise and a Spin Studio.
The Gym has the distinction of imparting training and guidance under qualified trainers and nutritionists, besides having Juice Bar serving healthy snacks and juices after the day’s workout. One can relax with sauna and steam in the spa area of the Gym.
On the inaugural function, the Chief Minister, who understands the importance of fitness, presented the Directors of the Gym, the Gold’s Gym Goldy and Certificate. The Directors included S S Wazir, Harmeet Wazir and Chitvan Wazir.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Omar Abdullah said, “I am happy that the people of Jammu can now experience this level of fitness right at their doorstep. I urge my fellow statesmen to take advantage of this facility and work towards building a fitter society.”
“I wanted to get fitness to Jammu and give them the opportunity for world class service and facilities,” said SS Wazir.
Mahant Manjit Singh was also present to give his blessings.
Director Gold’s Gym India, G Ramachandran and Distributor Star Trac, Nithij Arenja were present on the occasion.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Choudhary Mohd Ramzan, Minister for Transport and Food and Supplies; Raman Bhalla, Minister for Housing and Floriculture; Mohd Akbar Lone, Minister for Higher Education; Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA and Provincial president National Conference; Rashpal Singh, MLA; Jehangir Mir, MLC; Kuldeep Khoda, Chief Vigilance Commissioner; Y V Sharma, president Chamber of Commerce, besides S Rangeel Singh, S Gurmukh Singh and Mushtaq Bukhari.
