NEW DELHI: In a move which can be seen as a last ditch attempt by Pakistan to make its top Foreign Policy Advisor Sartaj Aziz’s visit to attend the ‘Heart of Asia Conference’ in Amritsar, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit today said Islamabad is willing for bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the conclave.
Talking to news channel Aaj Tak, the Pakistani envoy said if there was an offer of dialogue from India, then it would be accepted by Pakistan. ”We can delay talks for months or even for years. But ultimately, a solution to the problems between India and Pakistan can only come through dialogue, and therefore, both nations must sit and discuss all the issues that confront them,” he said.
