SAMBA, Mar 20: A Patwari escaped unhurt when his car caught fire under mysterious circumstances near Barian area on Jammu-Pathankote National Highway.
As per police sources, a Patwari namely Hardeep Sharma, son of Parshotam Chand of Salmeri Tehsil Vijaypur posted at District Headquarters Samba was returning home from his office when his car bearing registration number JK21A-3536 caught fire under mysterious circumstances near Barian area on Jammu-Pathankote National Highway.
On seeing the flames blowing out from the car, the Patwari parked the vehicle along road side and deboarded from it.
After getting information, police team also rushed to the spot and passed the information to Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
Fire fighter along with tenders reached the spot and doused the flames, but till then the car and the official record kept in it got completely gutted.
Vijaypur police has taken cognizance in this regard.
