PM pays tribute to Chandra Shekhar Azad in Allahabad

ALLAHABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today surprised the authorities by paying a sudden visit to recently renovated Chandra Shekhar Azad Park which is also known as Company Bagh or Alfred Park to pay tributes to the brave revolutionary.
Mr Modi visited the park and paid tribute to the great freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad and even visited the place where the martyr was killed in an encounter with the British police.
“This morning, went to Chandra Shekhar Azad Park in Allahabad & paid tributes to the great Chandra Shekhar Azad,” PM posted on his tweeter account.
Mr Modi visited the park on way to the K P College ground from the circuit house, where had stayed in the night.
The Allahabad Municipal Corporation officials went into a tizzy in the morning after getting the information about the visit of Mr Modi. Later, security forces cordoned the place and a team of officials rushed and cleaned up the area.
Recently, the authorities renovated the park by putting up a 3 km synthetic track and were providing other amenities to the visitors. (agencies)
