Poster making, slogan writing competition held

JAMMU, Apr 30: To encourage the art activities among the students, an Inter- House Poster and Slogan making competition was held in the premises of Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, Bari Brahmana, today.
Students of four houses namely Prithvi, Agni, Akash and Trishool participated in the event. Eight students from each house participated in the competition.
The topics of the competition were ‘Floods in Kashmir’ and ‘National Integration’. Students took keen interest in the competition and tried their hands on drawing sheets.
Posters depicting tragic and devastating scenes of floods resurfaced in front of eyes giving the clear picture of Nature’s fury, while slogans depicting the national unity and strength were also seen.
In poster making, Sonia Yadav of class 6th of Trishool house secured 1st position, while Sakshi Sharma and Vikas of Prithvi House garbed 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
In slogan making, Rumani of class 9TH of Prithvi house got first prize, while Komal of Agni house and Nazima of Akash house secured 2nd and 3rd places respectively. While judging the competition Vice Principal of the Institution, Anku Charak said that the need is to channelize the potential of the kids by providing them platform.
The event was carried out under in guidance of Incharge Akashdeep Raina, Ajay Sharma, Sandeep Zutshi, Amita Choudhary, Rekha Mehra and Kanchan Chalotra.
