JAMMU, Apr 8: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Pradesh Congress Committee Migrant Cell J&K, which was held here today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, appealed the Government to release ration of past three months to the migrant committee.
During the course of meeting, the participants expressed their grave concern over the Government’s attitude of depriving the migrant Kashmiri Pandit community of three months ration supplies by implementing NFSA though the migrant community is not entitled for implementation of NFSA.
Shadi Lal Pandita said that in case the Government fails to release ration of the months of February, March and April in favour of this migrant community, the community will launch agitation from April 12 and will come on roads at Jagti Nagrota against the Government.
He also appealed the Government for ensuring Aadhaar cards to the migrants from their respective zones as well as camps and non camps as the migrants have been facing difficulties without Aadhaar cards.
