BENGALURU: Claiming that the light single engine multi-role fighter Aircraft Gripen-E is the most modern Aircraft in the world, Swidish Defence giant Saab said that it would place more capability in the hands of the Indian Air Force.
Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the Aero-India-2019 beginning tomorrow, Mr Ola Rignell, Chairman and Managing Director, Saab India Technologies, said that the company is looking forward to win the contract for manufacture of the India-Specific fighter jet, which could be enhanced by the Indian designers in future.
We believe we have the best solution? to suit the requirements of the Indian Air Force, as for as supply of the jet aircraft, he added.
Reiterating that the company will transfer its technology, will build the infrastructure in India besides fulfilling the plans of the IAF to enhance its capability.
It will provide more Air Power with less cost he added.
He announced that if the company wins the contract it would ensure the capability transfer, Design, produce, support and upgrade and establishing the manufacture line of the Grapine-E in India, without a No Strings Attached deal.
Replying to a question about its manufacturing partner in India, he said that we have intention on co-operate with the Adani Group.
It is only our intention and the Government will ultimately decide on the issue.
He said that we will present a wide portfolio of products and systems from the Air, Land and sea domains. Aero India 2019 comes as the Indian Air Force evaluates new fighters for its future air power needs.

During the show we also present a full scale Gripen-E along with the game-changing Meteor and the precision attack Taurus KEPD Missiles he added.
