REASI, Oct 31: Salal Power Station has been selected as the ‘Best Rated Power Station’ among all the Power Stations of NHPC Limited for the year 2015-16 under the NHPC Award Scheme.
The Award Scheme has been launched for encouraging the Power Stations to compete for better operational efficiency.
The selection of the Power Station for the award is based on many parameters like best all round performance covering all aspects like Generation, Technical Inspection, Auxiliary Consumption etc. These parameters are well reflected in Highest “Station of the Day” cumulative count in a year provided that the Power Station has achieved the Yearly Cumulative PAF upto NAPAF as fixed by CERC.
Pertinent to mention that Salal Power Station under the leadership of A.G.Ansari, General Manager has achieved many a milestones since his joining at Salal Power Station like ‘Record Generation’ consecutively for the last two years beating all the past records since commissioning of the Project, achieving 100% target for construction of toilets in Govt. schools in District Reasi under ‘Swachh Vidyalaya Abhiyan’, execution of CSR works at a fast pace in all the sectors like Health, Education, Promotion of Rural Sports & Culture, Peripheral Development and above all initiatives taken from time to time for success of ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, a campaign launched by Prime Minister.
Speaking about the selection of Salal as Best Power Station of the year, Ansari gave sole credit to the employees of the Power Station. He said that no success can be obtained without team and the team of Salal employees is performing the assigned duties with dedication whereas my role is limited to sheer guidance. However, he hoped that the employees of Salal will continue to work hard with innovative ideas to touch new heights.
