JAMMU, Feb 10: Sanatan Dharam Sabha, Jammu Kashmir is going to celebrate ‘Parents Worship Day’ on February 14 instead of Valentines Day.
This was disclosed by Secretary of the Sabha Sat Pal Singh Rathore during a press conference here at Geeta Bhawan.
He stated that grand function shall be organized on February 14 at Geeta Bhawan, Parade Ground on the eve of Matri-Pitra Poojan Diwas (Parents Worship Day).
“These days, we find increasing lack of accord between parents and children. The consequent untoward incidents and increasing number of people resorting to old age homes have become a cause of concern. The western practices like Valentines Day are widening the chasm in this pious relationship and consequently, the radiance and vitality of the nation’s coming generation is being destroyed. In view of this, Sanatan Dharam Sabha, under the aegis of Pujya Sant Shri Asaram Bapuji, has given a call to celebrate ‘Parents Worship Day’ on February 14 in schools, colleges, temples and every homes”, he added.
He stated that instead of confronting this wind of Valentine Day, Pujya Sant Shri Asaram Bapuji has started a campaign of celebrating “Parents Worship Day” for the last seven years with an objective of reviving high traits of Indian culture.
Speaking on the occasion Jagdish Dogra, President of the Sabha appealed to all branches of the Sanatan Dharam and other religious as well as political organizations of this Country to celebrate the “Matra-Pitra Poojan Diwas” with full of hope and respect Like Bhagwan Ganeshji.
Among others present were Jagdish Sharma, vice president and Parshotam Sharam, organizer of this event.
