POONCH, Nov 3: JKPCC General Secretary and DDC Member Surankote Shahnawaz Choudhary inaugurated the installation work of electric poles at Potha in the presence of AEE and JE of PDD, Sarpanch and citizens of the area.
While speaking to media, Shahnawaz said that the work of installation of electric poles and other allied material will be carried out in his constituency and today we have started it from Potha.
He told that there is very poor power infrastructure in the villages as the wires are hanging on trees and several people don’t have electricity connections. There is life threat to the people due to not having wires on poles, he added.
He informed that he kept Rs 34 lakhs rupees from his Capex Budget initially to raise power infrastructure in the areas and now the infrastructure will be raised much better than earlier. He further added that he has also got new transformers and more than 200 electric poles sanctioned to raise power infrastructure in his constituency.
He claimed that the development works and projects, which were taken by him in last one and half year were not done in last 30 years by any public representative of the Surankote constituency.
Sarpanch Lower Potha Mohd Bashir, Anjum Hamdani, Nissar Shah, Advocate Sheraz Bajar, Sikander Hayat, Dr Wasim, Sher Khan and many others were present on the occasion.
