St Peter’s celebrates Annual Day

JAMMU, Nov 30: St Peter’s High School, B C Road today celebrated its annual day. The theme was -“My Country My Home”. The toddlers from UKG-IInd Standard displayed that India is a country with different cultures and traditions. People from different religions are living here with a great deal of diversity but we are all one.
J P Singh, IG was the chief guest on the occasion while Father Dominic Thekkenath was the guest of honour. Mr Sandeep Charak presided over the function.
The message was given to audience through a train journey. The train named as Ektha Express which starts from Kashmir and going right to Kanya Kumari. It stops at various stations showing the culture of the State and oneness of the people of India, including the values of acceptance, brotherhood, sacrifice, hard work, hope, love and faithfulness which are the pillars to make India the best in the eyes of the world.
The show also highlighted the beauty of India with its astounding diversity of religion, languages and culture. India is a beautiful country that shows different beliefs from other countries which are what makes it unique. It has its own values and traditions.
The function also showcased the grand finale and motivational words from dignitaries. The programme culminated with vote of thanks and National Anthem.
The afternoon show performed by the students from VI-VIIIth on the theme -India-land of Dreams and Horizons, captivated the minds and hearts of the audience.
