JAMMU, May 27: Two cars got damaged in accidental fire incidents in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of Nowabad and Bakshi Nagar police stations.
As per police sources, a Fiat Palio car bearing registration number JK02R-3020 accidentally caught fire near Dogra Chowk area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nowabad police station.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and fire tenders were pressed into douse the flames.
After hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control, but till then the car got damaged in inferno.
The car owner namely Adarsh Kumar, a resident of Talab Khatikan also received minor burn injuries.
Meanwhile, a car, which was parked for sometime in Shakti Nagar area also caught fire under mysterious circumstances.
A team from Bakshi Nagar police station rushed to the spot and with the help of locals doused the flames. The tyres of the car got damaged in the fire.
The car was owned by Rakesh Sharma of Shakti Nagar.
Cases have been registered at Nowabad and Bakshi Nagar police stations and investigation started to ascertain the reasons behind the incidents.
