KATHUA, Oct 24: On the directions of District Development Commissioner, a team of district administration led by Tehsildar, Kathua, Jatinder Mishra, DSP Headquarter, SHO Kathua, Executing Officer Kathua Municipality and Food Safety Officer today visited various markets of the town.
The team removed encroachments on the pathways and instructed the shopkeepers to display the rate lists in their shops failing which strict action will be taken against the erring shopkeepers.
The team also visited sweet shops and food vendors and checked the quality of milk products and other food items and challaned wrongly parked vehicles in the markets areas besides seizing the material found on encroached areas in Court Road, Mukherjee Chowk, Parliwand and Jarai Chowk area of the town.
Earlier, a team of district administration seized 1.80 quintals of synthetic khoya at Railway Station Kathua and sent the sample to forensic laboratory for findings.
