1 killed, 6 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, Feb 27: One person was killed, while six others were injured in five different road accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesman said a pedestrian, Abdul Majid Bhat son of Abdul Hamid of Kharbagh in Ganderbal was hit and injured at Sumbal by an unknown Tipper.
“The injured was shifted to SKIMS Soura for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. A case FIR No. 51/14 under Section 279/337 RPC has been registered,” the spokesman said.
A Swift car, KMR-3/0893, driven by Sajad Ahmad Malik son of Ghulam Hassan of Malik Mohalla in Kupwara skidded off the road near Kralpora Bridge, and the driver of the car got injured.  He was shifted to Sub-District Hospital, Kralpora Kupwara for treatment.
In a collision between a Motorcycle,  JK16/2937, driven by Tanveer Ahmad Ganie son of Mohammad of Wakoora and a cyclist Ghulam Ahmad Ganie son of Lal Ganie of Dayeepora, at Kurag both the riders were injured and shifted to a hospital for treatment.
An SRTC Bus, JK01Y/0557, collided with a Tanker, JK02K/ 7895, on the Highway near Chandhara in Pulwama, resulting in injuries to a passenger Shakeel Ahmad Baba son of Noor-ud-din of Seki Dafar, Srinagar.
In another accident an unknown vehicle hit and injured two pedestrians, Jamsheed Khan son of Showkat Khan and Mohik Khan daughter of Tariq Ahmad Khan of Nunderesh Colony, Bemina, on the Highway near a petrol pump in Bemina. The injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
Police have registered cases in these accidents.
