RAJOURI, Sept 11: The police seized ten bovine animals from Potha area of Kalakote and arrested three persons in this connection last night.
Official sources said that a police party during naka at Potha on Kalakote-Rajouri road intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK13-A/ 3680 and rescued four bovine animals. Two persons including driver were arrested in this connection. They have been identified as Mohd Sayeed, son of Gulzar Hussain, resident of Rajdhani in Manjakote and Mohd Maroof, son of Nazir Hussain, resident of Garan in Kalakote . The vehicle was on its way to Kashmir via Mughal Road. A case FIR No. 48/2015 was registered at Police Station Kalakote in this connection.
During yet another naka under Kalakote police jurisdiction last night, the police party rescued six bovine animals and detained one person. These animals were being taken on foot to give a slip to the police party. They had to be loaded in a truck for transportation to Valley via Mughal Road. The arrested smuggler was identified Mohd Rafiq, son of Mohd Lateef, resident of Mehjoor in Thanamandi. In this connection case FIR No149/2015 U/S 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Kalakote.
