JAMMU, May 21: A Lok Adalat-cum-Legal Awareness Camp was held in the Munsiff Court Complex, Gandoh Bhalessa under the guidance of Principal District Judge Bhaderwah and Chairman DLSA Mohinder Kumar Sharma.
The programme was president over by Sandeep Sen, Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Authority and Munsiff, Gandoh Bhalessa.
Around 16 cases of civil and criminal nature were takes up out of which 10 cases were disposed off. In addition, traffic challans were also taken up and all of them were disposed off with a recovery of compounding fee of Rs 700 on the spot.
The participants were informed about the rights of the people under the Legal Services Authority Act.
Besides advocates, members of TLSC also attended the Lok-Adalat.
