10-day Basic Archery Coaching Program begins in GDC Drass

KARGIL, July 29: Principal, Government Degree College (GDC) Drass, today inaugurated a 10-day Basic Archery Coaching Program organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports of the college to foster skills, discipline and enthusiasm for archery among students.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the College’s sports ground, saw a considerable turnout of students, faculty members and local sports enthusiasts.
In his address, the Principal emphasized the importance of sports in developing not only physical prowess but also mental focus and resilience. He expressed excitement about the archery program and encouraged students to actively participate in it.
The 10-day coaching program will be led by Mohd Yassin (College Director Sports) and will cover fundamental techniques, safety protocols, and competitive strategies.
The participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the history of archery and its significance in various cultures. The program is designed to be inclusive, catering to students of all skill levels, from beginners to those with some prior experience.
