10th Police Martyrs Memorial Cricket C’ship from tomorrow

KATHUA, Dec 17: Jammu and Kashmir Police in association with Shaheed Parivar Welfare Committee is organizing 10th Police Martyrs Memorial T-20 Cricket Championship at Sports Stadium Kathua from 19th December.
This was disclosed by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua RC Kotwal while interacting with media persons here today.
He informed that DGP Dilbag Singh will inaugurate the Championship on 19th December in the presence of police martyrs families.
SSP Kathua RC Kotwal said that 16 teams drawn from Jammu, Srinagar, Kathua, Punjab, Haryana and Delhi are going to participate in the championship, which is going to be played on national standards, adding that prominent cricket players playing IPL and Ranji Trophy are also going to display their talent in the championship.
“The winner team will be awarded with cash prize of Rs 3.50 lakh, while runner up team will be given Rs 2 lakh”, SSP said, adding that all the arrangements are finalized at Sports Stadium Kathua to organize the annual event of J&K Police under Civic Action Programme.
Among others, Additional SP Kathua, DySP and members of Shaheed Pariwar Welfare Committee were also present.
