11 social activists on 24 hour fast

KATHUA, Oct 13: A group of 11 social activists from village Mirpur in Teshil Madeen of district Kathua are on 24 hour fast in protest against the failure of police to trace missing village level worker for last three months.
The protesters raising slogans against the authorities said that VLW Ashok Kumar went missing three months back and the police has failed to trace him till now.
They said there is panic in the entire area and his sudden missing has raised questions on the law and order situation also as a common man does not feel himself safe and secure.
They said though the local people of the area had demanded investigation in the matter police has failed to do the same. They warned to intensify the agitation in case police fails to locate the missing VLW.
