116 PoK nationals in Poonch to return via Kaman Post Uri

POONCH: District administration Poonch has directed 116 PoK Nationals overstaying in Jammu and Kashmir to report on Aug 20 at sports stadium (Poonch) for onward journey to their destinations on Aug 21, via Kaman crossing point Uri Baramulla.

As per the directions,  those 116  POK nationals  who visited J&K via Chakkan-da-Bagh, Rawlakote through Poonch district, on various dates earlier, are   informed to report at sports stadium Poonch on Aug 20, 2017 afternoon for their onwards journey and for crossing over to PoK via Kaman post, Uri district Baramulla.

The district administration spokesperson said that as the trade and travel has been suspended through Chakkan-da-Bagh Rawlakote for last two months due to escalation on LOC in Poonch district, the authorities have decided to facilitate their (POK Nationals) crossing to POK via Kaman post Uri district Baramulla.

In this regard, District Administration Baramulla has been informed and requested for providing logistic sport and other necessary arrangements for crossing of overstaying POK guests on   August 21 from Kaman post, he added.
