JAMMU, Feb 17: The 11th District Speedball Championship concluded at Dogra Higher Secondary School, here today.
SD Tara Puri High School bagged the overall title in this Championship.
Chandan Mohan Gupta, Mayor JAMMU Municipal Corporation was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony, while retired DIG AK Attri and President of J&K Speedball Asociation, Ravi Tikku were the special guests.
Anil Nanda, Director of the event, Rajiv Mahajan, Robil Sharma and Pawan Kumar were also present on the occasion.
While interacting with the players, the chief guest, Mr Gupta assured them of full support from the Govt for upliftment of Speedball in the Union Territory.
On the occasion, he distributed free rackets among all players who won gold medals in the Championship.
Over 200 students drawn from 10 schools took part in the event.
SD Tara Puri High School emerged overall winner, while BN Public School and Banyan International School were the 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.
The event was organized by Sunny Nanda, General Secretary JKSBA and Romit Sodhi, member JKSBA.
Gurmajeet Singh, Priyanka Gupta and Jasleen Kour were also honoured on the occasion.
