JAMMU, Dec 20: Nagrota police rescued 12 bovine animals and arrested two persons from Ban Toll Plaza area, falling under the jurisdiction of Nagrota police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Nagrota police station laid a naka near Ban Toll Plaza and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK03A-8313.
During checking, police rescued 12 bovine animals and arrested two persons, who have been identified as Sameer Ahmed (driver), son of Farooq Ahmed and Owais Ahmed, son of Farooq Ahmed, both residents of Kandipora Bijbehara, district Anantnag.
A case under FIR Number 299/15 under Section 188 RPC, 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at police station Nagrota and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota police station Inspector Karan Chalotra made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma, SP Rural Rajeev Pandey and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
