12 bovines seized, 2 held; Bukki recovered

REASI, July 5:  The police rescued 12 bovine animals and arrested two persons in this connection.
A police spokesman said that police party from Chasana in Mahore intercepted 12 bovine animals at Sungri naka point and arrested two persons. These animals were to be loaded in a truck after passing naka point. The animnals were being taken to Kashmir valley via Mughal Road.
The police rescued the animals and arrested the alleged smugglers. They were identified as Mushtaq Ahmed and Kalu, son of Ghulam Mohd residents of Shikari village in Mahore. A case was registered against them.
Meanwhile, Katra police seized one kg and 700 grams poppy straw and arrested  one Madan Lal, son of Vasudev, resident of Nalay village in Katra today. A case has been registered in this connection.
