Sir,
Bagging 29 positions out of  100 by the Govt schools (DE Apr 4) indicates a healthy and encouraging trend in teaching learning process which was disappointedly witnessed as declining one in the recent past. Perhaps with coming of new Govt and moreso due to untiring efforts of our Minister of Education a ray of hope has been kindled to bring back the lost confidence in Govt schools. Whatever has happened in the field of education in the recent past years, was owing to poor implementation of the norms and policies. Regardless to say the corruption involved in the system has immensely derailed the entire edifice, resulting into closure of numerous schools due to poor enrolment. The education occupied vital importance in one’s life. It not only enables to earn livelihood, but also helps one to live a dignified life. Moreover, in the era of globalisation, need for quality education can’t be dispensed with. Obviously much more is still needed to be done because the roads to progress and prosperity never get completed. Revamping of the system and pin pointing the accountability can help a lot in this direction.
Yours etc….
