JAMMU, Sept 27: 12th District Speedball Championship, organized by J&K Sports Speedball Association, concluded at Crescent Public School, here today.
Around 100 players from various Schools of Jammu district participated. Harjeet Singh, First Class Magistrate was the chief guest, whereas Arshid Choudhary, chairman of the host School was the presiding guest and Tarun Uppal (District president Speedball Association), Kamal Dev Singh Manhas (Manager HDFC Bank) were guests of honour.
In under-14 girls category, Raghvi Singh of JMPS won gold, whereas Rupali Singh of JSS clinched silver and Bhumika Gupta of MVI & Jiya Nagpal DHSS shared bronze medal, whereas in under-12 boys category, Umair of DPS clinched gold, while Kundal Sood of DPS secured silver and Nirvaan Gupta of AFS & Ayush Dogra (BIS) shared bronze medals, besides in under-14 boys category, Sahil Kumar (BSKS) won gold, while Kaniya Sharma (JMPS) won silver and Atharva gupta (DPS) & Harshdeep Singh (BIS) shared bronze medal.
In under -16 boys, medals were won by Yogant Jamwal (DPS), Nirlabh Singh (CPSC) clinched top two medals, whereas Ravinder Singh (JMPS) & Vishal Kumar (BSKS) shared bronze medal, whereas in under-19 boys category, Gurmanjeet Singh (CPSC), Manish Karloopia (JSS) clinched top two medals and Manthan Pooh & Jatin Kumar of DHSS shared bronze medal.
In open super solo event, Gurman Singh (JSS) won gold, Dhruv Choudhary clinched silver and Vijayant Augusta (BIS) & Chetanya (BIS) shared bronze medal.
The matches were officiated by Sahil Janjua, Ankit Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, and Jatin Gupta under the supervision of event organizer, Sunny Nanda and the event was hosted by Nusrat Tahir.
