RAMBAN, Aug 19: Banihal police rescued 13 bovine animals.
As per police sources, during checking, a team from Banihal police station signaled a vehicle bearing registration number JK014D-8077 to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the driver accelerated the vehicle, broke the barricade and escaped after parking the vehicle on the road side as cops were chasing the vehicle.
During checking, police rescued 13 bovine animals from the vehicle, which were being smuggled to Kashmir from Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 129/17 under Section 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act has been registered at Banihal police station and hunt has been launched to arrest the accused.
