1303 pilgrims pay obeisance, 2.74 lakh have darshan so far

SRINAGAR: Over 1300 yatris on Monday paid obeisance at the holy cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas, where so far 2.74 lakh pilgrims had darshan of the self made Ice-Shivlingam since the commencement of the 60-day-long pilgrimage from Baltal and Pahalgam tracks.
Despite tense situation due to which yatra movement was suspended on Srinagar-Jammu national highway for the second day today, 1303 yatris had paid obeisance at the cave shrine on the 40th day of pilgrimage.
Till date over 2.74 lakh pilgrims had darshan at the cave shrine. Yatra movement on the highway was suspended on Sunday and Monday following strike called by separatists against attempts to weaken the Article 35 A. However, the Supreme Court where the petitions against the Article came up for hearing deferred the hearing till August 27. (AGENCIES)
