UDHAMPUR, July 28: The 137 Bn of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) celebrated its 13th Raising Day here last evening.
Commandant, 137 Bn CRPF, Mukesh Kumar was the chief guest on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the commandant complemented the officers and jawans and extended best wishes to them.
On the occasion, a scintillating cultural bonanza was also organized by the Battalion in collaboration with District Information Center, Udhampur. The cultural items were presented by the jawans of CRPF and artists of Information Department.
Punjabi folk songs presented by CRPF Punjabi singer, Kamal Jeet Kamal, Bhangra by Jawans, Solo Songs presented by Heer, Sheetal, Neelam, Tariq, and Banasree Sarkar were the main attraction of the programme.
Later, a Bara Khana was also organized in which officers, jawans and their family members participated.
The proceedings of cultural programme were conducted by Assistant Commandant CRPF 137 Bn, S S Gujjar.
Among others, Officer 2nd in Command, CRPF Bn 137, D V Thomas, Assistant Commandants, R D Soureng, Deputy Commandants, Neelam Bauntiyal, Anil Shikawat, Gusharan Singh, Dr Bano Partap Singh from 137Bn Udhmapur, Inspector, S P Sharma and ASI, Balvinder Singh.
