SRINAGAR, Sept 27: The 13th Dental Conference hosted by Indian Dental Association’s J&K branch was held at Kashmir University Convocation center.
The conference was inaugurated by Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, Adviser to Lt Governor who was the chief guest while Prof Nilofar Khan, Vice Chancellor, KU, and Prof Dr. Parviaz Koul, Director SKIMS were guests of honor.
Eminent Doctors attended the event. Among those were Dr. MS Khuroo, an internationally famous Gastroenterologist, Dr. J N Khanna from Mumbai, Dr. Abdul Latief Chesti, Prof. Dr. G.Q Khan, and others.
In the scientific session, internationally famous doctors from outside UT like Dr. Sheikh Imran and Dr. Aijaz Pasha from Pune presented their papers.
About 300 undergraduate and postgraduate students participated in the scientific session in addition to Dental surgeons from all over UT of J&K, who were part of the conference.
On the occasion, issues faced by the Dental fraternity were discussed with Adviser Bhatnagar who assured to redress these problems.
Dr. Abdul Latif Mattoo, Conference Chairperson welcomed the guests while Dr. Prof H U . Malik, patron of the conference, chaired the event. Dr. Adil Malik, the organizing Secretary delivered vote of thanks to all dignitaries, distinguished guests, and all participants.
