JAMMU, Mar 31: 13th Open State Fencing Championship, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Fencing Association, under the auspices of J&K State Sports Council concluded at Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
Minister for Health and Medical Education, Ch Lal Singh was the chief guest, who distributed prizes among the winners on the occasion.
Earlier, in Under-17 Epee team boys, Vikas Kumar, Muqmil, Kamal Sharma and Anurag of Reasi clinched gold, while Arun, Aman, Shubham and Vinod of Jammu bagged silver and the bronze medal was shared by Rajan Singh, Mohit, Rajan Prashar and Ajay of Udhampur and Saksham, Jatin, Munesh Sharma and Shivalik of DBN Club.
Open boys Epee gold went to Pankaj Sharma of Jammu, Silver to Ravi Sharma of Kathua, while the bronze medal was shared by Veer Sangram Singh of Jammu and Hardeep Bhagat of Reasi.
Gold medal in Open Foil boys went to Dushyant Magotra of Jammu, silver was clinched by Gursharan Singh of Jammu, while the bronze medal was shared by Saujanya Chib and Tariq Hussain, both from Jammu.
In Under-14 Foil girls, Simran Anand of Jammu bagged gold, Ashu Rani of Jammu won silver, while Riya Manhas of Reasi and Rishika Spolia of Kathua claimed bronze medal.
Rahul Prasher of Udhampur won gold in Under-14 Foil boys, Prashant Chib of Reasi clinched silver in this event and the bronze medal was shared by Saksham Gupta of Jammu and Aaryan Chandel of Reasi, while IN Under-14 Epee boys, Jatinder Singh of DBN Jammu won gold and Jaspreet Singh of Jammu bagged silver, while the bronze medal went to Samarthya Gupta of Jammu and Akash Sharma of the same district.
In Under-17 Foil girls, gold medal was bagged by Riya of Jammu, while the silver medal went to Mansi of Kathua and the bronze medal was shared by Deepika and Himani, both from Reasi.
Tariq of Jammu claimed gold in Under-17 Foil boys, while Anish of Jammu won silver and the bronze medal went to Aryaman of Jammu and Druva of Reasi.
In Open Epee girls, Arushi of Jammu clinched gold, Kayal of Samba bagged silver and the bronze medal was claimed by Sadhiya and Rajni of Reasi.
In Under-14 Sabre boys, Amit Chib and Mayank Sharma of Udhampur and Kathua won gold and silver respectively, while Kunal of Resi and Naman Bakshi of Jammu shared bronze medal.
Krit Arthi of Jammu won gold in Under-12 Foil girls, while Shreya of Jammu bagged silver and the bronze medal went to Pallavi of Reasi and Malvi of Jammu.
In Under-17 Sabre boys, Karan and Urnesh, both from Jammu won gold and silver respectively, while Rahul and Harish, both from Samba claimed bronze medals.
In Under-14 Sabre team boys, Hardik Sharma, Vivek Sharma, Ashish Tripathi and Mayank Sharma of Kathua won gold; Aryaman Mahajan, Rudra Partap Singh, Harsh Anand and Rinku of DBN Jammu bagged silver; while the bronze medal went to Jerrison Mattoo, Abhishek Mattoo, Nabeel Bhat and Austil Bhatti of Friends Club and Kunal Sadhotra, Akshat Sharma, Prashant and Parth Vashist of Reasi.
Open Sabre boys gold went to Javed Ahmed of Jammu, silver to Abdul Rafiq of Jammu and the bronze medal was shared by Nikhil Atri and Javed of Reasi and Jammu respectively .
In Under-12 Foil boys, Poorvak Suri of Jammu won gold, while Rishab Sharma of Jammu bagged silver and the bronze medal was shared by Sarthak Gupta of Jammu and Pragun Bhau of Jammu.
Sonali of Jammu won gold in Under-14 Sabre girls, while Ananya of Jammu claimed silver in this event and the bronze medal went to Shivanshi and Keofeeka, both from Reasi.
In Under-17 Epee boys, Rajan and Muzamil of Udhampur and Reasi won gold and silver medals respectively, while the bronze medals in this event went to Kamal of Reasi and Sayam of Jammu.
In Under-14 Epee girls, Riya Manhas and Kanika Sharma, both from Reasi claimed gold and silver medal respectively, while the bronze was shared by Pihul Rajput of Reasi and Sakshi Verma of DBN Jammu.
In Open Sabre girls, Priya Khajuria of Jammu won gold, Mokshi of Kathua bagged silver and the bronze medal was shared by Jaspreet Kour and Nitika, both from Jammu, while in Open Foil girls, the gold medal was bagged by Shriya Chib of Jammu , silver by Anchal Gupta of Jammu and the bronze medal went toDeeksha Pandey and Anchal Dogra, both from Jammu.
