JAMMU, Sept 23: Fourteen wrestlers were selected to represent J&K State Wrestling team in 2nd U-23 Boys Free Style, Greco Roman Style and Women National Wrestling Championship, which is scheduled to be held at Shirdi, Maharashtra from September 26 to 29, 2019.
The team was selected after the Screening Committee of J&K State Sports Council conducted screening of team under the supervision of Ravi Singh, Divisional Sports Officer Jammu in presence of Ashok Singh, Manager MA Stadium, Satish Gupta, Manager Indoor Sports Complex, Dheeraj Sharma, Chairman Technical Committee J&K Wrestling Association, Jai Bharat NIS Qualified Coach, Ravinder Kumar and Sahil Sharma.
President J&K Wrestling Association Dushyant Sharma hoped that the team will win medals and bring laurels to J&K. He also conveyed his best wishes to the wrestlers.
The team players are Rohit Singh, Bopinder Kumar, Marf Choudhary, Arshad Ali, Ranjeet Singh, Abdul Rashid, Shubham Singh, Showkat Ali, Sahil Dagoria, Shabir Khan, Rottam Singh, Vireshawar Bhardwaj, Sushil Singh and Amit Singh.
The team will be accompanied by Jai Bharat and Ravinder Kumar.
