UDHAMPUR, Mar 11: Chenani police today rescued fifteen bovine animals and arrested four persons, who were smuggling these animals to Kashmir.
Acting on reliable information, a Police Party from Chenani Police Station, laid a surprise naka on the National Highway at Drounthal and intercepted one Truck without number. During thorough search, the truck was found loaded with 15 bovine animals, which were rescued by Police. Even as driver of the truck escaped, his four accomplices in smuggling attempt, were arrested by Police. They were identified as Khalid Mohd, Shakil Ahmed, Fayaz Ahmed and Gafur Ahmed.
A case under FIR Number 23/16 188/RPC 3 PCA Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Chenani.
