JAMMU, July 18: Police rescued 15 bovine animals from a truck near Sua Number 1 area, falling under the jurisdiction of Kanachack police station.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Kanachack police station led by SHO Inspector Rajesh Sharma laid a naka near Sua Number 1 and signaled a truck to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the driver tried to escape from the spot but lost control over the vehicle and it turned turtle.
During checking, police rescued 15 bovine animals from the truck, while the smugglers managed to escape from the spot after the truck turned turtle.
A case under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at Kanachack police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
