KATHUA, Oct 5: 16th State Level Science Exhibition “Gyan-Vigyan Mela”, organized by
Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti J&K concluded at Sant Bal Yogeshwar Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Dadwara, Phinter, Billawar.
On the valedictory function, Hari Singh, Senior Mathematician and Director Academic Council of the Samiti was the chief guest, who awarded the winners in presence of CD Gupta, who presided over the programme.
Samir Krishan Saproo highlighted the activities being carried out by the Samiti.
In Vedic Mathematics Quiz, SBYBVM Dadwara team emerged as winner in primary, middle and secondary groups.
In Mathematics Models (Shishu Varg), Shah Nawaz of Udhampur, Lakshya of Ramban and Niharika of Dadwara clinched first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Bal Varg, Nazia of Udhampur, Ashna of Dadwara and Shersht of Ramban bagged first, second and third positions respectively and in Kishore Varg, Bhanu Pratap of Dadwara, Arjun of Ramban and Lokvandhu of Udhampur secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In Science Quiz (Shishu Varg), Dadwara, Udhampur and Ambphalla clinched first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Bal Varg, Dadwara clinched first position, Udhampur and Ramban shared second position and the third position was bagged by Reasi. In Kishore Varg, Ramban, Udhampur and Dadwara secured first, second and third positions respectively.
In Sanskriti Gyan Quiz (Shishu Varg), Ramban, Ambphalla and Dadwara clinched first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Bal Varg, Dadwara, Ramban and Ambphalla secured first, second and third positions respectively and in Kishore Varg, Ramban, Dadwara and Ambphalla bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
In On Spot Practical (Shishu Varg), Ramban, Dadwara and Udhampur secured first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Bal Varg, Dadwara, Udhampur and Ramban bagged first, second and third positions respectively and in Kishore Varg, Dadwara and Udhampur clinched first and second positions respectively.
In Paper Reading Science (Bal Varg), Varsha of Udhampur, Raj Veer of Ramban and Jitali of Dadwara bagged first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Kishore Varg, Mridhakshi of Ramban, Taniya of Dadwara and Usha of Ambphalla clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
In Paper Reading Sanskriti Gyan (Shishu Varg), Ritasha Sharma of Udhampur emerged winner, whereas in Bal Varg, Diksha Thakur of Udhampur and Ambphalla clinched first and second positions respectively and in Kishore Varg, Kajal of Udhampur and Ambphalla bagged first and second positions respectively.
In Science Models (Shishu Varg), Dadwara, Ramban and Reasi clinched first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Bal Varg, Ramban and Udhampur bagged first and second positions respectively, while Reasi and Dadwara shared third position. In Kishore Varg, Dadwara and Ramban secured first and second positions respectively, while the third position was shared by Udhampur and Ambphalla.
In Group Song Competition, Basohli, Dadwara and Udhampur clinched first, second and third positions respectively, whereas in Saraswati Vandana Competition, Dadwara, Ambphalla and Reasi bagged first, second and third positions respectively and in Discipline, Reasi, Basohli and Ambphalla bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
Earlier, the programme was inaugurated by Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State DoNER (Independent Charge), MoS, PMO, Atomic Energy and Space, Personal Public Grievances and Pension Departments in the presence of Arun Gupta, President Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti J&K, Ram Lal Sharma, Senior Vice President BSS J&K, Pradip Kumar Sangthan, Mantri BSS J&K, Samir Krishan Sapru, Office Secretary BSS J&K, Brigadier KS Dalal, GM Electronics Corporation of India Limited, SK Singh, AGM ECIL, RK Gupta Manager ECIL, Charan Dass Gupta, President School Management Committee, Dr Indu Bhushan, Secretary, CR Sapolia, Captain Om Parkash, Manager School, Pradeep Singh, Prant Sanyojak Vigyan, Renu Sharma, Principal BVM Udhampur and all Prant Samiti members.
Neetu Chowdhary, Principal Sant Bal Yogeshwar BVM Dadwara presented the welcome address. The senior team of scientists including Dr Dheeraj Vyas, Dr Sumit Gandhi and Dr PL Sangwan from CSIR IIIM Jammu were the judges of the programme.
The programme was sponsored by ECIL Limited Enterprise of Department of Atomic Energy and co-sponsored by State Bank of India, Regional Office Jammu through Billawar Branch.
In the end, Pradip Singh, Prant Vigyan Sanyojak presented the vote of thanks.
