JAMMU, Dec 31: Director General of Police (DGP), Ashok Prasad today announced absorption of 177 SPOs in Jammu and Kashmir Police as constables. The absorption has been made in conformity with the Government policy on rehabilitation for the serving SPOs in Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Disclosing this, Mr. Prasad said that the SPOs have been absorbed on the recommendations of Police Establishment Board for their extra ordinary contribution in maintaining peace and order in the State.
He said that orders to this effect have been issued by Police Headquarters (PHQ) and the Zonal Inspectors General of Police advised to issue formal appointment orders.
