17th UT J&K Wushu C’ship concludes; District Jammu lifts title

JAMMU, Dec 26: 17th UT J&K Wushu Championship-2023 concluded here today in which District Jammu lifted the title.
Nuzhat Gull, Secretary J&K Sports Council was the Chief Guest on the occasion, whereas Ritu Singh, Mona Saraf, Vijay Saraf, General Secretary WAI, Bhavneet General Secretary WAJK and Manesh Gupta were guests of honour.
Nuzhat Gull appealed to parents to allow wards to choose sports. As sports teaches discipline, dedication, determination and above all learning from losing. She said they have recently approved four high performance centres for Wushu which will be equipped with latest equipment, scientific support and best coaches. She congratulated Wushu Association of J & K for organizing the mega event, involving 1200 players from 19 districts, 5 Khelo India Centres and J&K police. Dignitaries appreciated Wushu Association of J & K for organising the six days long tournament.
