18 injured in road mishaps

SRINAGAR, Feb 15: Eighteen persons, including five policemen, were injured in different road accidents across the Valley.
A police spokesman said eight persons were injured when a Scorpio, JK05B/3982, they were travelling in, skidded off the road and fell in the river Jehlum at Nowshera, Uri, in district Baramulla.
A pedestrian, aged 80, Kaleem-ud-Din Khan son of Mufood Khan of Rajouri was injured when a Tata Mobile, JK05A/7089, hit him near Batpora in Baramulla district.
Three persons were injured when a Maruti Car, JK01F/0196, was hit by an unknown vehicle at Darend in district Ganderbal.
Five policemen and a truck conductor were injured in a collision between an LP Truck, JK03C/8301, and a police Rakshak vehicle at Bemina in Srinagar.
The spokesman said all the injured have been shifted to hospitals and cases have been registered in these accidents.
