19 injured as bus rolls down

JAMMU, Mar 11: 19 persons including several women were injured when the bus in which they were travelling, rolled down the road in Domail area within the limits of police station Jhajjar Kotli.
According to a police spokesman, the mishap occurred early this morning when the driver of the sleeper bus bearing registration number JK20-2629, which was on its way to Katra, failed to negotiate a curve at Domail area.
He said that about 19 passengers of the bus got injured in the mishap and all of them were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for treatment. “However, none of the passengers received serious injuries”, he added.
The injured persons were identified as Rajwanti (35), Kavita (14), Rupesh Kumar (28), Kusum (35), Karan (14), Des Raj (65) and Jaspal (38), all residents of Amritsar, Ruby Devi (30), Shiv Charan (42), Darhant Parsad (42), Urmila (45), Malla (25), Radhika (30), Ram Kulwan (48) and Simran (3), all residents of Bihar, Sarojini (59) of Hyderabad and Mukesh (23), Jatin (23) and Sagar (24), all residents of Madhya Pradesh.
A case in this connection was registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli.
